Aadhaar Card New Rule : New Rules will be Implemented again on Aadhaar Card, UIDAI CEO gave Complete Information.

Aadhaar Card New Rule : Your Aadhaar card will now display only your photograph and a QR code : The QR code will not contain your Aadhaar number, name, address, date of birth, or any other biometric details. This means that even if someone sees your Aadhaar card or takes a photocopy of it, no individual, institution, office, or company will be able to access your personal information. Especially hotels, telecom SIM sellers, conference or seminar organizers will no longer be able to misuse photocopies of your Aadhaar.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is considering issuing Aadhaar cards that contain only the holder’s photo and a QR code to prevent misuse of personal information. Reports suggest that these new rules may be implemented in December.

Aadhaar Card New Rule : UIDAI CEO Shares Full Update

Recently, UIDAI launched its new Aadhaar app. During an open online conference related to this launch, UIDAI CEO Bhuwaneswar Kumar said that the authority is considering introducing a new rule in December to discourage offline verification by hotels, event organizers, etc., while also enhancing age-verification using Aadhaar in a privacy-friendly manner.

Why Should Aadhaar Have Fewer Details?

Kumar said, “We are considering whether there is any need for additional details on the card. It should only have the photograph and the QR code. If we print more details, people will continue to rely on those, and those who know how to misuse such information will keep doing so.”

According to the Aadhaar Act, no person’s Aadhaar number or biometric information can be collected, used, or stored for offline verification. Yet many institutions continue to collect and store photocopies of Aadhaar cards. The new rule aims to put an end to this practice.
