Bank Holiday : All Banks will Remain Closed on 25th November, Know why RBI Announced the Holiday.

Bank Holiday : In Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, a holiday has been declared tomorrow, 25 November, on the occasion of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Martyrdom Day. Because of this, many people are confused about whether banks will also remain closed on Tuesday.

Bank Holiday in Delhi and UP

The Uttar Pradesh government had earlier fixed the holiday for Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Martyrdom Day on 24 November, but it has now been postponed by one day to Tuesday, 25 November. In both UP and Delhi, all government offices, government and private schools, and colleges will remain closed on Tuesday, 25 November.

However, if we look at the RBI’s official bank holiday list, no holiday has been declared on 25 November. The RBI has not ordered banks in UP or Delhi to remain closed. This means that banks will remain open on Tuesday, 25 November, even though schools, colleges, and government offices will be closed.

Schools will remain closed in UP

Usually, a public holiday is observed every year on 24 November for Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Martyrdom Day. But this time, the date has been changed, and the government has announced the holiday on 25 November instead of 24 November.

On this day, we remember the unmatched courage, firm devotion to faith, and commitment to protecting humanity shown by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. In 1675, he stood up against injustice and tyranny and protected not only the Sikh religion but also the religious freedom of the entire nation. He sacrificed his life to protect the faith of the Kashmiri Pandits but never compromised on his principles.
