Guru Nanak Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru and founder of Sikhism. The occasion will be celebrated with great devotion in Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.

8 November (Saturday): Kanakadasa Jayanti (Karnataka)
Being the second Saturday, banks across India will remain closed. Additionally, Karnataka will observe Kanakadasa Jayanti, the birth anniversary of the saint and poet Kanakadasa.

11 November (Tuesday): Lhabab Duchen (Sikkim)
Banks in Sikkim will remain closed on this day for Lhabab Duchen, a significant Buddhist festival commemorating Buddha’s descent from heaven.
